DANGER OF ENERGY RECOVERY WASTE

Energy recovery from waste (Waste-to-Energy, WTE) is the process of generating electrical and thermal energy through waste incineration .

The key challenges faced by WTE include:

1) The production of large amounts of DIOXINS, FURANS, HEAVY METALS, and other harmful substances.

2) The only products obtained are electricity and thermal energy.

Ecological solution

MWMATRIX technology enables carbonization and gasification of unsorted MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE (MSW)   to produce methanol or other synthetic hydrocarbons.

STAGE 1 - CARBONIZATION

The resulting  pyrolysis gas is purified and fed to gas piston or gas turbine units (GPU or GTU) to produce
electricity used by MW MATRIX.

Precise process control in the combustion chambers of the GPU/GTU and exhaust gas purification prevent the emission of dioxins and toxic substances into the atmosphere.

STAGE 2 - GAS TO LIQUID (GTL)

The carbonizate undergoes gasification with water vapor in a microwave field to form synthesis gas. After purification, it is sent to GTL reactors, where it is converted into liquid hydrocarbons, including methanol and other products.

Calculation for waste processing 1 t/h

*   Calculated at $0.1 per 1 kWh, but could be cheaper.

** Recycling subsidies are :

    - in Europe    €70-200 per ton depending on the technology.

    - in the USA $ 50-200 per ton depending on technology.
